Dr. Kierra A. Carter is an award-winning therapist, speaker, author, and CEO whose mission is to help women heal, rise, and walk boldly in their God-given identity.

A native of Florence, South Carolina, Dr. Carter has dedicated her life to uplifting others through the power of faith, therapy, and personal transformation. She is the founder of Helping Every Evolving Lady Dominate (Heel’d)—a movement birthed from her college organization Helping Everyone Avoid Loneliness (HEAL)—designed to remind women that they are worthy, seen, and deeply loved by God.

She is the author of It Had to Happen, Life Happens, and Make It Happen—books that speak life into seasons of pain, purpose, and perseverance. As a licensed therapist in North and South Carolina, Dr. Carter blends clinical tools with spiritual truth to guide others toward emotional wellness and wholeness.

Her journey is marked by excellence and obedience. She earned her B.A. in Psychology (Summa Cum Laude), double minoring in Mass Communications and Theatre, an M.A. in Rehabilitation Counseling, and a Ph.D. in Counselor Education and Supervision—all debt-free. Her story has been shared on platforms such as BET, WPDE ABC15, Voyage ATL, and numerous podcasts and magazines.

Dr. Carter is also a trailblazing pageant queen, coach, and judge. She was the first African American crowned Miss Florence (2015), and Miss Claflin University (2016–2017). She now serves as a brand ambassador for HBCU Times Magazine.

In every space she enters—whether counseling, speaking, writing, or coaching—Dr. Carter carries the light of healing and hope. Her favorite scripture, 2 Corinthians 12:9, serves as her life verse:
 “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.”
